You’ve probably noticed that a Google search engine results page (SERP) has significantly changed.
Organic results have been pushed down the page, and AI-Overview is often now at the top of the page.
Organic rankings are very important, but Google AI-Overview placement is the new place to be.
I’ve figured out how to get websites into the Google AI-Overview, and here’s what I can tell you.
- It’s not easy
- It won’t happen without high-quality fundamental “base” search engine optimization (SEO)
- Google has to really already like your website and its content
- It takes time
- It’s an ongoing process (not set it and forget it)
- It requires creating content at a website that is SEO optimized, think blog posts, not only relevant to a search but also matching search intent.
Here are three of my SEO-AI clients, One Heart Personalized Wedding Ceremonies, Fifth Avenue Entertainment, and Riverside Senior Living in Decatur, Alabama showing up in Google AI-Overview as of 06/10/26.
